Standing beds

Everyone who was tied to the bed for a few days experienced all the negative influences of lying down. Listlessness, aching limbs, loss of strength and e.g. headaches appear after only a few days. With comparatively mobile patients, the impairments can be somewhat reduced by turning and lying on the side, but not with long-term lying patients. These patients additionally have problems in the permanent lying position due to reduced muscle mass and poor circulation of the pressure-loaded skin.

Regular standing improves the physical basis considerably and thus increases the overall well-being of the patient. Regular standing thus avoids a high care expenditure and thus saves resources in the care of the patients.
